In 2015, in the pit of my own brokenness and despair, Word To Life Muzic (WTL) was born. A vision came to use rhythmic and catchy music as a means of consuming and memorizing the Word of God for my healing. That inspiration came in the form of turning each word of the Book of Psalms into Hip Hop music! Crazy cool right? After searching for it and not finding it, the inspiration said, “Why don’t YOU do it?” I thought that was a crazy thought, but here I am doing it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, with no musical background, OMG!!! But thank God for my producer Rich!! He has been a total God-sent, helping bring to life ideas and beats in my head.
What we are doing here is revolutionary!!! It has NEVER been done before, so we are super stoked!! We are excited and passionate about this Spoken Hip Hop Psalms Project! We in the building, repping the Kingdom of God and we are excited to promote the message of the Kingdom in a very unique form that you can bounce to wherever you go for fun and play, spiritual growth, or for therapy. Enjoy this beautiful worship unto our Creator and be transformed by it!!!
With its rhythmic beats, Hip-Hop swag, and edgy style, Rap is the perfect ignition to bring the Word To Life (WTL). Jesus is the Word brought to Life, and God’s Word is Spirit and Life. It is powerful! Life and death are in the power of the tongue when you speak a word. A word can bless, excite, encourage, curse, anger, and it can get you turnt up, right? Words are powerful! Music is just as powerful and therapeutic. Together, the spoken Word of God plus music is simply transformative. It’s fire!!! That’s what I experienced, for real. Imagine the power of the three working together in your life… God’s Word, the power of the tongue, and muzic! It’s called Spoken Hip Hop and its 100% the words from the Bible.
